The 2017 Nevada State Senior Amateur was held at the Primm Golf Club in Primm, Nevada. The two day event is flighted by age with the state amateur net and gross champion coming from over the field. Ruth Maxwell was the State Senior Amateur Champion shooting an impressive 74/71. Ruth is from Round Mountain, Nevada and to our knowledge this is her first State Senior Amateur tournament. Soyoung Crabb was the State Senior Net Champion shooting 63/69. All results can be found here . The overall winners won $180 and were not eligible to win flight awards.

The 2017 Silver Cup was held in chilly weather at Somersett Golf Club in Reno, NV. The format for all 3 days is net match play with the first day format being foursomes (modified alternate shot). Ten points are available the first day with the North capturing 6 of those. The results for day 1 can be found here . The second day format is four-ball or best ball. The North again took 6 points of the 10 available points. This was going to be a fight to the finish as the North needed 8 points to retain the cup and the South would need 12 1/2 of the 20 points available the last day in singles. The North team won 10.5 leaving the final score 22 1/2 to 17 1/2. Results for day 2 and day 3 can be found here .Congratulations to the Northern Nevada Women's Golf Association. A picture of the team can be found here. 2017 STATE AMATEUR

The 2017 State Amateur was held at Paiute Golf Resort on the Snow course. The course was in great shape and the weather the first day was perfect. After the first round, Amy Ruelas led shooting 71 gross and Connie Isler was on her heels shooting 75. Soyoung Crabb led the Net race shooting 68. On the second day the wind blew pretty hard and the scores went up a bit with Amy maintaining the lead shooting 74 and Veronica Joels tightened up the race shooting 73. Unfortunately the last day of the tournament was washed out as we received torrential rain and the course was closed for play prior to us teeing off. Therefore the 2nd day results were the final results with Amy Ruelas winning the championship and the honor of representing Nevada at the USGA State Team Play. The Nevada State Net Amateur Champion was Hyun Lee shooting 72/66. All the results can be found here

The 2017 Partners tournament was held in great weather at Anthem Country Club. This event is a two day two person best ball. The Gross Winners were Janet Weber and Ronda Henderson. The Net winners were Judy Critcher and Lucy Lee.
